...was FRICKIN' AWESOME!!! I love this movie! J. J. Abrams really knew his stuff when making it, and kudos to the music composer for putting the original series' theme into the end credits! Sure, there's some things to nitpick, like Chekov, for starters. I didn't really like how they did Chekov at all. Also, I was disappointed that Kirk didn't say the classic "Beam me up, Scotty!", and that he didn't do his signature Kirk shooting stance with his phaser. And the relationship between Spock and Uhura... yeah, no. Just no. The character that I felt was handled perfectly was McCoy, played by Karl Urban. That did more than justice to the Bones we all know from the original series. The guy who played Scotty also did a good job. Seeing Leonard Nimoy come back as Old Spock was a real treat, as well as seeing Sulu doing some swordplay again. Overall, this movie is great! If you haven't seen it yet, you most certainly should! Even if you're not a hardcore trekkie, you will definately enjoy this movie! I actually would like to see more Trek from J. J. Abrams; maybe a new series using the actors from the movie, or perhaps *gasp* a prequel to Next Gen exploring a young Jean-Luc Picard! Still, as great as this movie is, it's nothing compared to "Wrath of Khan".
