"if you cant read it on fb
It is with a very sad heart that I must confirm my husband, Justin Carmical, sometimes known as the Jew Wario died on Thursday, January 23rd.

I also have to confirm he shot himself, but he was not alone, he locked himself in the bathroom and I was on the other side of the door talking with him. He knew I loved him, HE KNEW ALL OF YOU LOVED HIM. You all made him so happy, every time he was recognized from his videos, it made him giddy with joy.

His last recording was a song with Johnathan Mann, I don't know if Johnathan knows. He recorded it the night before.

I am surrounded by family and friends, and am taking this one moment at a time, remembering to breathe. I want to share with you what the Chaplain said to me, it was a momentary mistake, hold on to the good memories. I will post an update once a decision has been made about funeral arrangements.

If I need anything I will let you know, just hold on to each other and love each other, and thank you all so much for loving him so much.
---------
i want to do something,so i ask you,if you can post something,fanart,a pic form a con,anything to remember JW,text post,poems,fics,whatever you can
or just write something here, just share what you feel

he really is the nicest guy ever"

I hadn't really watched most of JewWario's videos, but from the ones I did watch and from what I saw of him in the anniversary specials, I could tell JewWario was a really good-natured human being with an undying passion for what he produced.  My heart goes out to his wife and family, as well as his fans and the cast and crew of TGWTG.  I offer my deepest and most sincere apologies and condolences for your loss...

Attention all Amnesia custom story developers and developers in general!  This is an official announcement that I will be restarting NorthernSprint's Amnesia project based off of the Rainbow Factory song and story!  At the moment I am looking for people with at least some know-how in game design and development who would be interested in brainstorming and working on a few smaller Amnesia projects to help build a team up for the Rainbow Factory project.  I want this project to be the best that it can be and to realize NorthernSprint's original vision for it as best we can.  If you or someone you know has experience or know-how with game design or development, especially with Amnesia custom stories, you can contact me through notes, Steam, Yahoo, or Skype.

If any of you have played the Elder Scrolls games and are a regular mod user, you've probably heard of a modder by the name of Giskard.  Giskard was best known in the Oblivion modding community for some excellent quest mods and expansions based in Elder Scrolls lore, such as The Elder Council, Origin of the Mages Guild, and the Cyrodiil Upgrade Resource Pack.  The mods can be found on his site, The Engineering Guild.

www.theengineeringguild.co.uk/…

Anyway, when the Creation Kit was released for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, I, like so many mod junkies, was anxious to see what Giskard would come up with for an already epic game.  Sure enough, he delivered, with Wizards of Winterhold, an expansion to the College of Winterhold questline.  It was also the first mod Giskard released on the Steam Workshop.  Then things went sour...  Due to massive amounts of "trolling", Giskard suddenly turned emo and removed the mod from the Workshop.  He then posted articles on his site detailing his "reasoning" for the removal of his mod.

"Due to the endless heavy trolling from Elder Scrolls users, I have decided not to make any my public mod releases for Skyrim and have deleted The Wizards of Winterhold from Steam. So all 6000+ subscribers will find they are no longer getting updates to my mods.

Sorry but nobody, not even you readers would continue sharing cool stuff free stuff with others when your punished for doing so on a daily basis by the very people your sharing the cool stuff with. NOBODY would stand for that.

I would have preferred a block feature so I could deny trolls download access individually as Youtube allows but Steam offers no such function so this will have to do. I have also removed everybody I do not know from my friends list on Steam ready for this change.

The Wizards of Winterhold and the new TEG Harbringer Fix are now friends only downloads.

You can read about Friends Only Downloads on the main menu of this site.

If you want them and are not a friend of mine, you are going to have to join the Guilds forums and post until you reach the rank of Guild Master, at which point you will learn what you need to do to get the mods. Any moaning about this system will result in an mediate ban from this site for the user concerned. The system was designed to filter out trolls and spammers back in 2009 and works very well, so this is no normal forum signup as you will find out. Best not use a proxy without telling a staff member first. We ban proxy users on sight.

Those who are Guild Masters can download the mods from the following links.

Wizards of Winterhold V1.1.1

TEG Harbringer Fix

For those who have not guessed yet, I do not mod to keep 5000 strangers happy, I mod to keep my self and my friends happy, as this move should have proven.

The moral of this story is, if you piss off the person giving you free gifts, do not be surprised when he stops giving you anything."

"It is the policy of this website not to make mods for trolls and has been for nearly 3 years. That includes people that are happy to see a modder suffer just so they can continue to download his mods.

The Wizards of Winterhold mod contains this in the docs and it has existed since day 1 and has always been 1 click away from any of my mod users. It clearly states exactly what will happen if people do what they did recently. Players where warned repeatedly to read it and I have always stated I run a troll free site and make mods for friendly users only. The trolls chose to ignore those warnings and troll anyway and now they have nothing.

Which is exactly what I said I would leave them with if they did that again. The Elder Scrolls community made decision to be rude to a modder and his work, ignoring the warnings in the process. Now they have nothing as a result of that decision and are crying about.

So lets look at the fine print shall we. The disclaimer in the Wizards of Winterhold mod said this.

Mod Makers Disclaimer

This mod was made for my self and my own website users. Support for this mod is only offered from my forums on my website to users who follow my website rules and remain friendly at all times. By uploading this mod to other websites I am not agreeing to be trolled, moaned at or vented at. Should sharing this mod with you on other websites become a painful experience for me, this mod will be removed and shared solely with my own site users were I have complete control over who gets to download it and how often.

Always remember I OWE YOU NOTHING, I PROMISE YOU NOTHING, You have no right to expect anything more from me than what I offer freely.

As you can see the disclaimer tells everybody the mod was made for this site users and my self, which are the only people getting it today. It says clearly what would happen if I am made to regret sharing with you and that has happened. There is no room for misunderstandings.

The fact I am well known for enforcing such disclaimers and licenses is a point that TES fans should have considered before ignoring that disclaimer. Still that is not my problem is it.

You are NOT my customers.

The thing players often get wrong is assuming they are customers of the modder, they are not, we not professionals in any sense of the word, nor are we shop keepers, we not getting paid for this, there are no guarantees or rights the players can fall back on with mods. We have no reasons what so ever to keep on providing something to players when the players start making it unpleasant for us to do so.

Most of you are complete strangers to the modder, not even people we care about. So coming on all trollish and expecting our cooperation is a demonstration of the fantasy world many players live in because in the real world the only cooperation you could expect for that is a punch in the face.

The fact that so many players fail to understand this is not my problem. The hard reality of the real situation dawns on them at times like this when the modder gives them a slap on the face and a reality check and pulls his mods or fails to share updates with them. Then they start crying over how unfair it is.

Player Double Standards

There is a double standard out there in player land where they expect me to take 100s of emails of crap from them each week but explode when I reply with one my self. During the past 5 years, not a single player who did that to me and got a reply ever accepted my reply as okay. They ALL EXPLODED and immediately started name calling, yet they ALL expected me to take 100s of emails like that so they could enjoy my mods.

One exploded today in fact and I was actually quite reasonable with him considering what he said to me.

Fact is, players practice double standards with modders and always have, failing to treat modders as they expect modders to treat them. Which is why these things come up as often as they do. A modder is not being unreasonable when he asked to be treated fairly, despite what some players believe.

Fragmented Internet

The rise of social networking has given rise to a more fragmented internet where like minded people gather to share things on sites that support their way of doing things. The guild is a friendly site for friendly people, we do not want selfish trolls here that only think of them selves and moan when mommy takes their toys away because they were naughty.

I have no problems making and sharing mods for my site users, I have done that for decades. My site users have never gone without mods because of actions I have taken to deal with trolls. They respect my decisions and live within the system I created that allows us all to have fun.

So I support my fragment of the internet quite well.

But I also guard the doors to it.

There are users out there that think following a set of rules designed to let everybody have fun is ass kissing and try and use that as an argument so they can be allowed to have their fun and piss everybody else off at the same time. Following rules is not ass kissing, ass kissing is what the trolls do when being rude fails to get them what they want and they decide to try sugar instead of salt.

Trolls are the biggest ass kissers I know and use it as a tactic to get their way when all else fails. Once they have their way they tend to explode in a trollish rage.

That my friends is an ass kisser, a troll is an ass kisser and that is why ass kissers as unwelcome here at the Guild as Trolls. Because they are usually trolls.

The modders real power.

The modder who made a mod is the best person to update it, he has an official air about his updates that cannot be denied. Rip offs can be made obsolete with 1 update from the modder. The modder can choose who to share his work with, when to share it and more importantly where he wants to share it.

It is the right of the modder to choose those things and it is not the place of the player to moan about those choices.

If the modder uses a site to host his mods, you have to go to that site to download it if you want that mod. The illusion that the player can choose where he wants to download mods from is an interesting illusion but the fact is, you go where your favorite modders tell you to go.

That is the reality here, I am telling my mod users to come to the guild for my mods and anybody who wants them will come here, everybody else will do without.

The modder is the fountain from which all his own mods flow, if you like a modders work it is best to be a user on the site he shares them from. Otherwise your not going to get them. I realize players follow many modders and use sites I never use for reasons of trolling but I do not interfer with the players right to choose which sites he uses. But I do expect players to respect my right to choose where I support my own mods from without complaint.

I have chosen to share my mods from my site because I dislike being pissed about on other sites by trolls.

Users who respect that decision will still be able to get my mods, those who do not will not.

That is the reality here folks and a sign that everything flows from the modder down. My question for you is, do you want it to be recycled crap you gave to the modding flowing down to you again or good stuff you can enjoy. If you want the good stuff, you should respect the modders decisions, especially when it allows him to enjoy sharing mods with you.

The mods are still available.

You heard me, the mods are still available here at the guild. There is system to get them that means you get what you want and I do not have to suffer for your benefit. Its a little messing around but it means everybody wins, including me. Except the trolls of course, they lose everything. Which is the point really.

So if the mods are still available why do the trolls kick off.... Well because this is a troll free site and they stand no chance of surviving to become Guild Master and get access to the mods that is why. This fragment of the net has rules they just cannot follow even if they wanted too.  So they tend to get caught and banned by the very system that lets the rest of us enjoy the mods in peace.

It is unfortunate I must make all reasonable people post x amount of times before I let them get the mods, I really do not like that and never have but given the games trolls play its proven system that works in filtering them out.

Any troll that makes it to guild master clearly has the ability to control them selves and if they can, they are welcome to stay. That is how it works.

I do want to share these mods with you, I just refuse to suffer player crap in the process.

Modders are GODS over their own work.

If the modder asks for you to meet him half way, its not optional, you should respect the gift givers wishes since you want something from him. Remember you are not customers of his, he is not getting paid or reward for sharing mods with you, you are not giving him a reason to support you or consider you in the future. Your just a random stranger to the guy who did all the work. Your credibility is suspect, your motives unknown and trust in short supply until you give the modder a reason to give a shit about you.

Everybody at the guild has given me a reason to care about them by following my rules and respecting my decisions.

Failure to respect the wishes of the person giving you presents under those conditions will always result in those presents being removed and you being left with nothing. This is plain common sense anybody who has ever lived in the real world can tell you is true.

Why net users believe real world values do not count online is a mystery to me, but to expect me to buy in to their delusions so they can download mods whilst I suffer is an expectation too far.

I have already proven players expect me to suffer for them but have no intention of suffering for me and a modder who knows you players are like that should scare you shitless because it means the modder, eg me, will do as I please and not as YOU please.

Put people in a lose lose situation and they will usually act in their own interests and not in your interests. That is a life lesson for you boys and girls out there.

Do not be afraid of the guild.

I take a very hard line against trolls and selfish people on this site and all my pages, I do not want them here in the guild yet every new arrival may be a troll, if I throw open the doors to everybody I know what happens next so I choose to let people ease them selves in to the guild and have set things up so we can filter out those who simply would not fit into our world eg Trolls.

We do not ask much, we are gamers, we just want to be able to enjoy games and have some fun, we know there are a lot of forum users out there that have their fun at everybody elses expense, they make the forums a nasty dark place to use.

I keep those types of users out of this site.

That is why its worth jumping through a few hoops early on, once you get beyond the filters and know what the guild is like, you should enjoy self. No online community is as supportive of its members as we are. The rules are simple and common sense. If you can resist kicking off at people you should be fine here.

If not, you will never fit in on this site.

Keep in mind we support friendly users and make mods for friendly users and nobody else."

TL;DR: "Since people aren't sucking up to me and giving me asspats and pity points, I'm going to make my excellent work available to people that do suck up to me!  Everyone who is not my friend is a TROLL!!!"

Giskard, if there is the slightest chance that you are reading this, you are seriously overreacting.  If you really want to fight trolls, suck it up, be a man, and keep in mind that the internet outside of your little pansy guild is not a welcoming place.  By deleting your mod and making it and future mods available to "friends only", you are not only feeding the trolls that you told everyone else not to feed; you are making the innocent community members who have been loyal supporters of your mods suffer for something they weren't involved in.  You will get trolls no matter where you go.  Such is the way of the internet.  Either you can accept that and grow a pair, or stop modding all together.  Honestly, the community would be much better off without a pussy like you.  And to think I wanted to do some voice work for a future mod of yours...  Don't get me wrong; your mods are great!  If only your attitude was a little better...

UPDATE:  It seems Giskard is backpedaling and trying to make a compromise.  This should be good...

"I know you want my mods and you know I want you to have these mods or I would not keep sharing them with you despite the trolls. But we all know the trolls ruin it for everybody. They see no reason to behave so they constantly hammer at modders until the modders quit, removes his mods and leave you with nothing.

This has been a serious problem in the Elder Scrolls community for decades, they always drive away their best modders at some point. There has never been a reason for them to think twice about doing that and the thought that the modder may quit never crosses their minds until it happens.

So modders either put up with it or we quit, most quit and you lose their work for good.

We all know its better to punish the troll whos being bad, than every single user of a mod. So I am asking for your support in getting a way to do exactly that added to steam workshop.

I have requested a block feature to be added so modders can block individual trolls from their pages.

I would like your support on this, if you agree, post a comment of support in that thread so steam notice it. Dont be rude, steam have introduced a lot of good features and their system continues to evolve. I want it to make the sharing of mods a pleasant experience for everybody, you and me.

Remember we are not getting paid for releasing mods, you are not the modders customers. We are all players just like on a forum and most forums have rules and moderators and block features because over the years we have found where any group of players post, those features are needed. We need them here too for mods.

The difference here is, the trolls are usually mod users too and they also want those mods. The threat of being blocked on its own will be a powerful incentive for them to behave. It already works here at the guild, it will work just as effective if not more so on Steam Workshop.

So if your one of the 6000 or so innocent users that lost the Wizards of Winterhold hold mod because a few hundred dickheads made it pain for me to share it with you, you should understand why this is a good solution to that problem.

If i had the power to block individual trolls bothering me every day, most trolls would think twice before being trolls. And I could share WOW with you and my other mods more openly without being made to suffer for it."

TL;DR: Essentially, Giskard would like anyone who wants his mods to support a new feature for Steam Workshop that allows him to block any so-called "trolls" from downloading his mods.  Of course, we all know this would consist of anyone who has a different opinion from his own and who fails to suck up to him in the proper manner.

Everyone, I implore you to pay a visit to :iconmuddasheep:, hands down one of the greatest Half-Life 1 modders out there.  This man is responsible for the sadistic awesomeness that is the Half-Quake trilogy, and I have just now found his DA account!  Go now and show him your love of sadism, and perhaps in the future we could see Half-Quake 4, or maybe even Half-Quake Source!

You can also download the full Half-Quake trilogy on ModDB.  Do it now, and prepare to die!!!
